The short version: Pack Analytics is a tool that wealth managers use to build investment proposals. The portfolio data you upload belongs to you and your clients — we use it only to generate your reports, we encrypt it, and we never sell it. The rest of this page is the detail.
This policy explains what information Pack Analytics LLC ("Pack Analytics," "we," "us") collects when you use our website and application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It's written to be read by a human, not just a lawyer — if anything here is unclear, email us at f.digenova@try-pack.com and we'll explain.
Who this applies to
Pack Analytics is built for financial professionals — RIAs, wealth managers, and family offices. Our direct customers are advisors and their firms. When an advisor uploads a client's portfolio to generate a proposal, we act as a processor on the advisor's behalf — the advisor remains responsible for their own client relationships and disclosures.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, work email, firm name, and password when you sign up.
- Portfolio data you upload — the holdings, tickers, values, cost basis, and tax lots contained in the PDF statements or Excel files you import to build a transition.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor (PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
- Anything you send us — emails, support requests, and feedback.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — which features you use, when, and for how long, so we can improve the product.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and basic diagnostics.
How we use it
- To run the core service — parsing your uploads, optimizing transitions, and generating your PDF proposals and AI summaries.
- To manage your account, subscription, and trial.
- To keep the service secure and detect abuse.
- To support you and respond to your questions.
- To improve Pack Analytics using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns — never individual client portfolios.
We do not use the client portfolio data you upload to train public AI models, and we don't sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising. Full stop.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the vendors that help us run the service, and only as much as they need:
- Cloud hosting — Google Cloud, where our application and your data are stored, encrypted at rest.
- AI providers — to generate the written executive summary, the relevant figures are sent to our AI vendor under a contract that prohibits them from training on or retaining your content.
- Payment processing — PayPal, for subscriptions.
- Analytics — privacy-respecting usage analytics to understand product engagement.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users. If we're ever part of a merger or acquisition, we'll tell you before your data moves.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Portfolio files and generated reports are retained so you can revisit your work; you can delete saved models and reports at any time from within the app. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your data within 90 days, except where we're legally required to keep records longer.
How we protect it
Security is the whole point of a tool that handles financial data. We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis, and run our infrastructure on Google Cloud. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and continuously work to harden ours.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — view and update your account details in the app.
- Deletion — delete saved portfolios and reports, or ask us to delete your account entirely.
- Export — ask us and we'll provide a copy of the data associated with your account.
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have additional rights. Email us and we'll honor them.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the product is used. We don't use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working if you do.
Not for children
Pack Analytics is a professional tool and isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app. Continuing to use Pack Analytics after a change means you accept the updated policy.
